There are so many things to love about Jimmy’s Classic Marlborough Wine Tours. Enjoy door-to-door service in your own small, private groups which gives you more control over your day and ensures all our tours are ‘bubble friendly’.
Generally tours include tastings at four mainly boutique, family owned wineries, but if you’d like to visit the local antique shops or art studios as well, or have a specific winery in mind,
Jimmy can make it happen!
On the day of your private tour, Jimmy will pick you up from your accommodation in his spacious Barolo Red Mercedes.
Enjoy a scenic tour of the Wairau Valley as we drive west towards our first destination, Clos Henri Vineyard, nestled in the Southern Valleys subregion of Marlborough.
Explore the vineyards and learn about their unique approach, which blends traditional French winemaking with Kiwi innovation, before a wine tasting in their quaint and picturesque chapel.
Next, hear about the inspiring pioneering story of the family owned Bladen Wines, and taste your way through their award winning line up of Sauvignon Blanc and aromatics.
Up next is a tasting at Rockferrys organic winery a firm local favourite, followed by lunch at one of Marlboroughs fine vineyard restaurants. After lunch we will visit Fromm and Huia wineries both exceptional organic wineries offering a wide range of boutique wines.
With a great range of red and white wines and commitment to organic and sustainable practises, next hear about .......... no Marlborough wine tour would be complete without Fromm Winery.
At the completion of the tour, Jimmy will drop you (and your wine!) safely back at your accommodation.
Wineries visited are subject to individual opening hours and may change depending on availability. However, Jimmy has a great knowledge .......... including, Lawsons dry Hills, Gibson Bridge, Forrest Estate, Jacksons Estate, Auntsfield and Dog Point. Remember, this trip is all about you, so please let Jimmy know if you have any preferences.

"We thoroughly enjoyed Jimmy's private tour through Marlborough. We asked to visit wineries that focus on natural wines. Jimmy had a great knowledge of where to take us and set up private tastings in advance. Each winery was incredibly welcoming and one even gave us a private tour of their vineyard. We also enjoyed a great lunch at locally sourced restaurant in a beautiful setting.
Jimmy was a fantastic host who was very knowledgeable and friendly. His car was spacious and luxurious and we even got to meet his dog Alfie!
Needless to say, we highly recommend Jimmy for a private tour of Marlborough."
